1. Travel Documents & Visas

Japanese citizens may visit Sweden and the Schengen Area visa-free for up to 90 days. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. Bring a printed and digital copy of your itinerary, booking confirmation, and travel insurance.

2. What to Pack

• Clothing: Layered clothing is essential. Even in summer, evenings can be cool. Winter travelers should bring thermal wear, gloves, hats, and waterproof shoes.
• Essentials: European power adapter (Type C/F), medications, travel-sized toiletries, reusable water bottle.
• Wellness trips: Bring swimsuits for spas/saunas, comfortable walking shoes, and a warm jacket.

3. Time & Currency

• Time zone: Central European Time (CET), UTC+1 / UTC+2 in summer.
• Currency: Swedish Krona (SEK). Credit cards are widely accepted; Sweden is mostly cashless.

4. Language & Communication

English is widely spoken in Sweden. Your guide will speak Japanese, Swedish, and English. Free Wi-Fi is available at most hotels and public spaces. SIM cards or eSIMs can be purchased at the airport.

5. Health & Safety

Sweden is a safe country with high-quality healthcare. No vaccinations are required. Tap water is safe to drink. Travel insurance is required for all participants and can be arranged through Norrsken.
